Totaling 9600 acres, Mt Elsa consists of sandy loam river country, pondage pastures, irrigation and forest country. Mt Elsa is 65 kilometres north of Rockhampton in the Yaamba district, fronting the Fitzroy River for 8 kilometres.
Owned and operated by Steven & Claire Farmer along with their three children Hugh, Hamish and Lara, the Mt Elsa enterprise consists of 250 stud droughtmaster females, supported by a droughtmaster commercial herd.

Bullzeye Droughtmaster Sale
"Bullzeye" a sale that brings together some of Qlds leading droughtmaster genetics. The vendors have a common goal which is to provide Central Qld with bullock bulls that keep to the basics 'red meat, fertility, temperament and price'.
SC Droughtmasters are located one hour North of Rockhampton on the Fitzroy River. Our cattle are bred on coastal country with a strong emphasis placed on fertility and genetics with moderate frame, quite temperament and structurally correct. Females are expected to calve annually, during a four month joining period and are recorded on Droughtmaster Group Breedplan and we have qualified for the Bush AgriBusiness Top Studs 2024 publication. We are one of only 237 studs across 14 breeds in Australia that made the list.
